             As a young girl, I remember my family having the utmost respect for the Royal Family and following the travels and events which surrounded them, as during that period of time, Canada was a distinct part of the British Empire .  I  loved to watch the processionals on television and felt a deep sense of pride when the majestic brass fanfares were played.  During my early teens, my grandfather told me that his loyalty to the Crown and love of England and Canada compelled him to fight during World War I.  Therefore, somewhere deep inside I felt the need to convey my love and loyalty for my country and thus wrote this work.   Over the years, my mother and her relatives have been researching and collecting information tracing our history and roots to England .  Upon completion of this work, my mother presented me with the following historical information which can be substantiated regarding our heritage, which is rather amazing. Now I truly understand my grandfather’s pride and love of England .
